Field Test & Deployment Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Field Test & Deployment Engineer to support the testing, validation, and deployment of our IoT agriculture systems and edge AI surveillance solutions. This role is hands-on and requires working closely with both hardware and software, performing system integration tests, troubleshooting devices in the field, and assisting customers during installations. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical troubleshooting skills, networking knowledge, and field readiness, with the ability to provide valuable feedback to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans for embedded IoT devices, Linux-based edge devices, and integrated systems.
• Perform hardware/software troubleshooting across sensors, controllers, cameras, and networking equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPNs, NAT, and firewall setups, including IP cameras and NVRs.
• Conduct manual and automated testing using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Document test results, deployment issues, and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Assist in customer site deployments, including installation, configuration, and validation of systems.
• Work closely with R&D teams to replicate and escalate issues found in the field.
• Support acceptance testing and demos with customers.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and deployment best practices.

Requirements

• 1+ years in hardware/software testing, deployments, or system integration.
• Familiarity with LAN, WAN, VPNs, NAT, firewalls, and IP camera systems.
• Ability to debug embedded IoT devices and Linux-based edge devices.
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong ability to write test plans, deployment reports, and customer feedback summaries.
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites (agriculture fields, industrial environments, remote locations).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of basic electrical wiring (12V/24V systems, grounding, connectors).
• Experience with PoE cameras, NVRs, and video surveillance systems.
• Familiarity with basic scripting (Python, Bash) for automated testing.
• Background in LoRa, WiFi, or 4G device configuration.
• Previous experience with customer-facing technical support.
